Software Engineering: Globalization and Its Implications

چکیده
The offshoring of software development is over three decades old and has been at the leading edge of the offshoring of information technology services. Over the past decade, the pace of offshoring has dramatically increased due in large part to new communication technologies and the opening up of India. This report discusses the evolution of software’s globalizing supplychain. It argues that high value-added work will be an increasingly large component of offshored software development in the future.
